1. Who We Are

Tamasic is a small atelier based in Kyoto, Japan, operating tamasic.dark. For the purposes of this policy, we are the data controller of any information you provide to us through the site, email, or in person.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what we need to forge and ship your ritual:

• Order data: name, email, shipping/billing address, phone, items ordered.
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor — we never see your full card number.
• Account data: if you choose to create one — email and a hashed password.
• Correspondence: messages you send us via email or contact form.
• Minimal device data: aggregated visit counts, never tied to you personally.

3. How We Use Your Data

To process your order, ship your pieces, respond to your messages, and (if you opt in) send the dark correspondence. We never use your data for retargeting or third-party advertising.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies — to keep you signed in, to remember your cart, and to make the site function. We do not use marketing or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Sharing With Others

We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to fulfil your order:

• Our payment processor (Stripe) for payment.
• Our shipping carriers for delivery.
• Our email provider for transactional emails.

Each of these is bound by data-protection contracts. We do not share data for marketing.

6. How We Store Your Data

Order data is retained for 7 years for tax and warranty compliance. Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your data at any time. Write to privacy@tamasic.dark and we will respond within 7 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Children

The site and its products are not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has shared data with us, write and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy in any meaningful way, we will email anyone with an account or active order. Minor wording changes will be reflected here without notice.
